The Sarah James Fulcher Redfish Tournament is the flagship fundraiser of the Sarah James Fulcher Foundation. Created in memory of Sarah James Fulcher, the tournament honors her legacy while showcasing the natural beauty of Cedar Island. Since its founding in 2018, it has grown into one of North Carolina’s largest red drum fishing tournaments, drawing anglers, families, and community members from near and far. Annually we host nearly 200 boats, 4.5K attendees, and award over 60K in prize money.
More than just a fishing competition, the event supports the Foundation’s mission to provide everyone with fun and exciting outdoor experiences that were important to Sarah James. We welcome everyone from seasoned redfish pros to first-time anglers, the tournament is a celebration of community, connection, and coastal tradition.
