Our Mission

To promote inclusive access to our coastal resources and recreation, while encouraging community involvement and conservation of our local heritage.
Sarah James Fulcher

A Legacy of Love, Community, and Coastal Pride

Sarah James loved riding the side-by-side at Cedar Island Beach, safely nestled in her daddy’s lap as they visited everyone on the beach. Of all the places her little heart adored, the Pilentary Camp on the Outer Banks was likely her favorite of all.

The Sarah James Fulcher Foundation is an Eastern North Carolina Non-profit

The Sarah James Fulcher Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by eastern North Carolina natives. We use innovative methods to raise funds for community based projects that are inclusive and promote recreation in the outdoors, as well as promote growth and development of local community programs. The Sarah James Fulcher Redfish Tournament is the foundation’s flagship fundraiser.
